Answers about how KALBI works, uploading your ECG, your report, and your privacy.

About KALBI
What is KALBI?
KALBI lets you upload an existing ECG image or PDF and get it reviewed by a board-certified cardiologist. You receive a clear, signed report in the app, without an appointment or waiting room.
Who reviews my ECG?
Every ECG is reviewed by a licensed cardiologist who is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease. Every report is digitally signed by the reviewing cardiologist.
Is my ECG read by a person or an algorithm?
By a person. A cardiologist looks at your actual tracing and writes your report. Your device may give its own automatic result, but the KALBI report is a physician’s interpretation.
Does KALBI replace my doctor?
No. KALBI gives you a specialist’s reading of one ECG. Share your report with your own doctor, who knows your full history and can examine you, order tests, and treat you.
Where is KALBI available?
KALBI is available to adults aged 18 and over in the United States.
Preparing and uploading your report
Which files can I upload?
Upload an existing ECG as an image or PDF. Direct connections to wearable devices are not supported.
How do I upload a printed ECG?
Take a clear photo of the complete ECG report and upload the image in Kalbi. Keep the paper flat and avoid glare.
Can I upload a PDF?
Yes. Choose your existing ECG PDF from your files in the app and add the requested context before submitting.
What if my image is blurry or incomplete?
Use a sharper image showing the complete tracing. If the ECG cannot be interpreted, you may be asked to submit a clearer copy.
How do I prepare a clear ECG image?
Place the report on a flat surface in good light. Keep the camera steady, include the full tracing and avoid shadows or reflections.
Can I upload an ECG for a family member?
Only for another adult who has given you permission and whose health information you are allowed to share. Their details should be entered accurately so the report is correct.
Your report
How long does a review take?
Reports are provided within 24 hours, with an average turnaround time of less than 4 hours. You get a notification as soon as your report is ready.
What is in my report?
Your rhythm and heart rate, the cardiologist’s interpretation, a plain-language explanation of what it means, a clear recommended next step, and the reviewer’s name, credentials, date and time.
Can I share my report with my doctor?
Yes. You can download any report as a PDF or share it with your doctor directly from the app.
What if my report recommends follow-up?
Follow the recommended next step and share the report with your doctor. If the report or your symptoms suggest urgent care, seek it straight away rather than waiting for an appointment.
Can I see my past ECGs and reports?
Yes. Every ECG and report is saved in your history in the app, with the date, device, result and symptoms for each one.
Pricing and account
How much does a review cost?
The price is shown in the app before you submit, and you are only charged when you confirm. Payment is handled securely by Apple through the App Store.
What if my ECG cannot be read?
We will let you know and ask you to upload a clearer ECG image or PDF. If you choose not to resubmit, contact support@kalbi.us about a refund.
Is there an Android app?
KALBI is currently available on iPhone. If you would like to know when other platforms are supported, email support@kalbi.us.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@kalbi.us from the address on your account. Signed reports are medical records, so we are required to keep them for a period set by law, even after the account is closed.
Privacy and safety
Is my information secure?
Your ECGs, symptoms and reports are encrypted during transmission and while stored. Only you and the reviewing cardiologist can access them, and record access is logged.
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell, rent, or use your health information for advertising.
